Graduate Student • 2014 — 2015

Experience as a student working in the LISA lab (now MILA) developing Theano and Pylearn2. Completed a full set of graduate-level computer science courses.

Université de Montréal and CRM

Postdoctoral fellow • 2011 — 2013

Researcher at the Université de Montréal and the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques (CRM). Teaching duties at McGill University and Concordia University.

University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

NSF Postdoctoral Fellow • 2008 — 2011

Research position that successfully solved a 30 year old conjecture in pure mathematics using unexpected methods.

  • Jointly developed the Rogers-Zudilin method for expressing L-values of elliptic curves as special values of regulators.
  • Solved the Deninger-Boyd Mahler measure conjecture for conductor 15 elliptic curves.
  • The approach is currently state-of-the-art in the area.
